At WY Quality Counts, we believe that quality child care is the foundation for a brighter future—for Wyoming’s children, their families, and even the world. Our mission is to raise awareness about why quality childcare matters and to support early childhood education across Wyoming.

What We Do

We’re here to make quality child care and education accessible, engaging, and impactful. Here’s how we achieve that:

  • Empowering Early Childhood Providers: We provide funding for training and education to help early childhood professionals grow their skills and deliver exceptional care.
  • Creating Family-Friendly Resources: We design unique materials to help families play an active role in their child’s development. From fun activities to practical tools, our resources support cognitive, language, social-emotional, and motor skill development.
  • Promoting Everyday Learning: We share methods and materials tailored for families and educators to ensure children are prepared for success with developmentally-appropriate approaches.

How We Work Together

Collaboration is key to achieving our mission. WY Quality Counts:

  • Supports Educators: Through scholarships and grants, we invest in Wyoming’s early childhood professionals, helping them access educational opportunities and training.
  • Partners Statewide: We team up with early childhood organizations and agencies across Wyoming to foster a sense of community, share knowledge, and coordinate efforts.
  • Connects Families with Resources: We’ve created a central hub of information (funding provided from the Preschool Development Grant), called the Community Resource Center, making it easy for Wyoming families to find programs, services, and support for them and their children.

Because we’re part of the Wyoming State Department of Workforce Services, we’re uniquely positioned to collaborate with multiple state agencies to achieve our goals.

Our mission goes beyond awareness—it’s about action. Through the Community Resource Center, we make sure quality learning and living practices are accessible to everyone in Wyoming. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or educator, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
