What is the WyHealthTrain Grant?

Up to $10,000 to help you complete a qualified healthcare program within 2 years.

Who is it for?

  • Wyoming residents enrolling in an approved healthcare program at a Wyoming Community College or the University of Wyoming.
  • You must meet one or both of these criteria:
    • Lost your job or had reduced hours due to the pandemic (March 13, 2020 – May 11, 2023).
    • Your household income is at or below 300% of federal poverty guidelines.

FAQs – We’ve Got Answers!

  1. Do I need to be 18 to apply?
    Nope! If you’re under 18 and enrolling in a qualifying program, you can still apply (with parental guidance).
  2. Do I have to keep a certain GPA?
    Yes, you’ll need to maintain at least a 2.0 GPA to continue receiving funding.
  3. Can I take a semester off and keep my funding?
    No, your program must be completed in consecutive semesters.
  4. What if I change my program or school?
    You’ll need to submit a Change Request Form for approval. It’s not guaranteed, so choose wisely!
  5. How will I know if I got the grant?
    We’ll notify you via email about two weeks after the application window closes.
