Wyoming employers highly value the skills and dedication veterans bring to the workforce, often offering them special preference during the hiring process. Veterans encountering challenges such as disabilities, legal issues, and other barriers affecting their ability to find employment can access support and resources at job centers. Additionally, eligible family members or caregivers may qualify for certain benefits, so don’t hesitate to explore the opportunities available for veterans and their families.
Wyoming’s Workforce Centers provide a range of services to veterans, transitioning military personnel, and other qualified individuals. Veterans and other eligible persons who meet specific requirements receive priority access to resources, including employment and training referrals.
Veterans Priority of Service: The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services prioritizes employment and training services for veterans and other eligible persons, giving them earlier access to resources and job opportunities.
At all Wyoming Workforce Center locations, veterans receive priority service, allowing them quicker access to resources compared to non-veterans. Services include:
- Job placement
- Job search resources
- Training programs
- Résumé and application support
- Career guidance and development
- Skills assessments
- Labor market information
- Supportive services
Many locations also have dedicated Veteran Employment Specialists to provide specialized assistance. Take advantage of these valuable resources as a valued veteran! To register online, go to HireWYO.
