Second Quarter 2023
Wyoming had 17 growing industries in second quarter 2023 (2023Q2), which accounted for 21.0% of all industries and 14.1% of the state’s total employment. Growing industries included support activities for mining; professional & technical services; support activities for mining; and merchant wholesalers, durable goods.
There were six declining industries in 2023Q2, which made up 7.4% of all industries and 2.0% of the state’s total employment. Declining industries included warehousing & storage, petroleum & coal products manufacturing, and furniture, home furnishings, electronics, & appliance retailers.
