Wyoming had four growing industries in 2024Q1, down from five growing industries last quarter. Wyoming’s four growing industries in 2024Q1 accounted for 4.9% of all industries and 3.9% of the state’s total employment. Growing industries included heavy & civil engineering construction, administration of economic programs, membership associations & organizations, and electrical equipment & appliance manufacturing.
There were also four declining industries in 2024Q1, one less than last quarter. Declining industries made up 4.9% of all industries and 0.7% of total employment. The greatest decline was seen in furniture, home furnishings, electronics, & appliance retailers.
