PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services
(DWS) proposes changes that will affect the Department’s rules and regulations. The following
changes are proposed for modifications to Chapter 1, Regulation Governing Access to Records.
• Section 3 – Applicability – update DWS physical address.
• Section 4 – Definitions – (g) Public Records – changed W.S. 16-4-210 to 16-4-201
• Section 6 – “Fees” was deleted; the new title is: “Requests for Information and Access to
Public Records”.
• Section 6(a) – added “are preferred to be submitted electronically at:
http://wydws.nextrequest.com” “Workforce Services: and updated the physical address.
• Section 6(b) – deleted – “non-fee requests need to be submitted in writing, not to the
Office of the Director, but shall be directed to appropriate Department personnel”.
• Section 6(c) and (d) were reassigned to the remaining rules.
• Section 6 (e)(f)(g)(h) and (i) were added to include: Applicability, Custodian, Right of
Inspection, Grounds for Denial and Response to Request; Statement of Reason and Time
Limits.
• Section 7 – title “Fee Schedule” was deleted and “Procedures, Fees, Costs and Charges
for Inspecting, Copying and Producing Public Records” was added.
• Section 7(a)(i) through (v) was deleted. New sections (a) and (b) were added to include
the State of Wyoming, Department of Administration and Information (A&I) directive
from September 6, 2016, in adopting uniform rules for procedures, fees, costs and
charges for inspecting, copying and producing public records.
