The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is excited to announce a series of public events for National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) Nov. 18-23, joining a nationwide celebration that highlights the value of Registered Apprenticeship in building a highly skilled workforce. NAW brings together employers, industry representatives, labor organizations, community-based organizations, educational institutions, workforce partners, and government agencies to showcase the economic impact of apprenticeship programs. These events will connect Wyoming residents with resources, training, and career pathways. Registered Apprenticeship sponsors across Wyoming will showcase their programs and facilities, creating a powerful pathway to good jobs and a brighter future for career seekers.

Governor Mark Gordon’s Proclamation Signing

Governor Gordon will officially proclaim November 18-23, 2024 as National Apprenticeship Week in Wyoming with a public signing at the State Capitol. Community members, apprenticeship advocates, and workforce leaders are encouraged to join this event to celebrate Wyoming’s commitment to workforce growth and development. All are welcome.

  • DWS Virtual Training Series: Apprenticeship 101 & Grants
  • Date: Tuesday, Nov. 19
  • Time: 11 a.m.
  • Details: Join the Wyoming Apprenticeship Team for a free virtual session covering the essentials of Registered Apprenticeship Programs and available grant opportunities. The event includes a Q&A session to provide additional insights. Register to attend.
  • NAW 2024 Career Fair
  • Date: Wednesday, Nov. 20
  • Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Location: 5221 Yellowstone Rd., Cheyenne, WY
  • Details: Explore employment options with various employers, including those offering Registered Apprenticeship Programs. Gain insights into careers that combine hands-on learning with progressive wages. Open to the public.
  • Student Learner Agreement, Internships, and Apprenticeship 101
  • Date: Thursday, Nov. 21
  • Time: 3:30 p.m.
  • Details: Hosted by the DWS Apprenticeship Team and DWS Risk Manager Ricardo Lind-Gonzalez, this session explains the Student Learner Agreement and how high school students can access pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeship programs. Register to attend.
