Our agency has hosted an annual Workforce and Safety Summit for almost two decades, bringing timely workforce information, workshops, and breakout sessions in a conference setting. While DWS enjoyed bringing the Summit to employers and business owners, the way people prefer to learn has shifted, and the pandemic simply reinforced that shift. With this in mind, and in lieu of the Summit, DWS launched the first-ever Virtual Training Series and OSHA Roadshow.
The OSHA Roadshow offers two days of comprehensive hands-on training designed to help employers reduce the number of incidents related to the “Fatal Four” – falls, struck-by, electrocutions, and caught-in or -between – the leading causes of fatalities in the construction industry. This year’s event will be held in Afton, WY, on May 14-15 and is a must-attend for anyone interested in construction safety. Workshops include:
- Excavation Safety Competent Person
- Fall Protection Awareness Training
- Competent Person for Fall Protection Equipment Inspection
- Construction Focus Four: Electrocution Hazards
- Construction Focus Four: Struck-by Hazards
We encourage all staff to please share information on this important event with your customers in the construction industry. Class sizes are limited, so please encourage them to register soon. Thanks for your help spreading the word and helping to keep the workforce safe.
