Wyoming State Statutes created the Mining Council, consisting of ten members and the State Inspector of Mines. The membership is comprised of five management and five hourly representatives from various types of mining operations. The Mining Council acts in conjunction with the State Inspector of Mines to improve the health and safety in the mines of this state. The Mining Council is also responsible for the certification of underground and surface mine foreman and mine examiners as required by State Statutes. In addition, the Council is committed to the production and the processing of minerals, and in all installations, equipment and operations.
