CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Workforce Development Council (WWDC) will conduct its quarterly meeting in Casper on Nov. 8 from 1 – 5 p.m. and Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon to receive updates on the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs administered by the Department of Workforce Services (DWS), information for the Wyoming Tax Payers Association, and a discussion with Advance Casper. The Council will also consider one grant request and will tour WYLD Gear’s manufacturing facility.

WWDC partners with the state workforce system, businesses, industries and workers to grow robust regional and state economies and to build a high-quality, self-sufficient workforce through industry sector strategies and career pathways. The WWDC also provides strategic direction and policy guidance for the workforce centers across Wyoming. Members of the public are invited to attend the quarterly meeting.

Anyone who wishes to attend may do so in person at the Thyra Thomson State Office Building, 444 W. Collins Dr., in Casper, or virtually via Zoom. Information about joining the meeting as well as the full agenda is available at wyowdc.wyo.gov.
