April 2025
The number of initial and continued Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims in Wyoming increased over the year in April 2026. Initial claims have changed very little over the past few years, but continued claims have steadily increased. From April 2024 to April 2026, continued claims increased about 10%.
There were 1,654 initial claims in April 2026, up from 1,617 in April 2025 (37, or 2.3%). There were also 116 more claims filed compared to last month, likely due to the end of the ski and winter tourism seasons and other regular seasonal patterns in Wyoming.
The total number of continued weeks claimed increased from 10,547 in April 2025 to 10,825 in April 2026 (278, or 2.6%). The total number of continued weeks claimed decreased by 1,809 (-14.3%) over the month. The total number of unique claimants decreased by 47 (-1.4%) over the year.
