DWS taking public comment on repeal of Apprenticeship Utilization Program Rules

It is important that we be able to provide timely payments to you for your benefits, and in doing so, are making some changes. Therefore, as of 05/31/2024, you will no longer be able to file your weekly continued claims for payment over the telephone using the automated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. You will be able to file your continued claims online at wyui.wyo.gov by logging in and clicking on Continued Claim > File Continued Claim.

CHEYENNE – The Department of Workforce Services is repealing Chapter 1 of the Apprenticeship Utilization Program rules and now seeks public comment on the proposed repeal of the rules.

The proposed repeal of Chapter 1 is due to the repeal of its authorizing statute through Senate Enrolled Act No. 0004, which passed in the most recent General Session. The Public works apprenticeship programs-repeal bill eliminated the bid preference program for contractors. Therefore, this chapter of rules that outlines the parameters around the preference program is proposed to be repealed. The stricken copy may be found here.
