While the names of these service centers may differ—Workforce Centers, Job Services, Employment Security Commissions, One-Stop Centers, and more—their core mission remains crystal clear: to support job seekers in finding meaningful work, help employers discover qualified talent, and in many locations, provide valuable job training and career development resources.As a central part of the One-Stop system, Wagner-Peyser ensures job seekers, workers, and businesses can access an integrated array of services, including those under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Whether you’re looking for a job, hiring new employees, or seeking professional development, these services bring everything together under one roof—making it easier for you to find what you need, all in one place.
