Both initial and continued Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims in Wyoming increased over the year. Initial and continued claims also increased over the month; both typically increase in the winter months and peak in January.

There were 2,177 initial claims in December 2025, up 85 (or 4.1%) from December 2024. Initial claims increased by 156 (7.7%) over the month.

The total number of continued weeks claimed increased from 11,096 in December 2024 to 12,228 in December 2025 (1,132, or 10.2%). There were 3,749 unique claimants in December 2025, decreasing both over the month (-63, or -1.7%) and over the year (-284, or -7.0%).The December 2025 Unemployment Insurance claims report also provides detailed information on initial and continued claims at the industry and county levels.
