After completing his college education in Wyoming, he entered the oil and gas industry in May of 1985, beginning as a roustabout in Bairoil. This early field experience laid the foundation for his practical, operations-focused approach to safety and leadership.

In 1989, Chuck joined Amoco Production Company as a material coordinator supporting one of the nation’s first CO₂ projects—an innovative effort at the time that helped shape modern production practices. His exposure to complex operations and risk environments led him to transition into the safety field, where he quickly established himself as a knowledgeable and trusted resource. Over the years, Chuck has earned multiple safety certifications and later completed a degree in Criminal Justice, further strengthening his ability to integrate regulatory compliance with real-world field application.

Chuck’s career has spanned some of the most active and technically demanding regions in the country, including the Powder River Basin, Williston Basin, and the Upper Green River Basin in Pinedale, where he currently supports natural gas operations. His work has consistently focused on hazard recognition, workforce development, and building safety systems that function effectively in real operating environments—not just on paper.

In addition to his industry work, Chuck has served for more than 25 years as a member of the Wyoming OSHA Commission, contributing to the development and advancement of workplace safety standards across the state. His long-standing involvement reflects both his commitment to worker safety and his belief in continuous improvement within the industry. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Chuck remains deeply connected to Wyoming’s outdoor lifestyle. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time around a campfire—often with a cold beverage in hand—embracing the same environment that shaped both his life and career.

In his capacity as the Division’s CSA, Joshua operates outside the standard Claims Division chain of command to manage benefit determinations and handle high-profile complaints with the authority to review and resolve issues as appropriate. His responsibilities include reviewing all benefit denials, assisting employers and healthcare providers with inquiries, and processing complex claims for injured workers. Additionally, he represents the Agency and the Workers’ Compensation Division in presentations throughout the state.

Outside of his professional work, Joshua is a dedicated musician who has played guitar for over 15 years and recently began learning the drums. He enjoys studying and listening to a diverse range of musical genres from around the world.

In that high-tempo, zero-margin-for-error setting, Larry developed a deep understanding of risk management, situational awareness, and the level of team accountability required to keep people alive in dynamic, unforgiving conditions.

He also served at Strike Fighter Weapons School Atlantic, where he supported advanced, post-graduate level training in strike fighter tactics, mission planning, and weapons employment—helping ensure fleet squadrons were prepared to execute complex combat operations safely and effectively.

At CNATTU Lemoore, Larry played a key role in training and curriculum development, including leading the rewrite of the F/A-18 E/F/G training curriculum and supporting simulator and training device upgrades. He served as an aircraft firefighting instructor, preparing personnel to respond to high-risk aviation emergencies.

Following his naval service, Larry transitioned into industry as a Training Manager for Industrial Hoist and Crane, where he delivered hands-on training across a wide range of equipment and safety disciplines, including forklifts, cranes (NCCCO certification), manlifts, fall protection, and rigging. He later served as a safety consultant for Ultra Petroleum, where he developed and implemented a comprehensive safety management system for the Vernal Three Rivers operations—establishing structured processes for hazard identification, risk mitigation, and field accountability in a complex operating environment.

Today, Larry is a Safety Foreman at PureWest Energy, where he has led the development of a Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention program from the ground up and established a comprehensive safety management system utilizing KPA. His approach is centered on building systems that drive accountability, improve hazard recognition, and hold up under real-world operating conditions. He currently serves on the Wyoming OSHA Commission, contributing to the advancement of statewide safety standards.

Outside of work, Larry enjoys spending time outdoors with family, whether it’s golfing, fishing, hunting, boating, or camping. He values time with his two grandchildren and takes every opportunity to be outside, staying active and connected to the kind of lifestyle that reinforces the importance of coming home safe at the end of the day.

Nate is a Past President of the Wyoming Oil and Gas Industry Safety Alliance (WOGISA). Nate has vast experience as an equipment operator operating track hoes, backhoes, loaders, Dozers, and cranes. Nate served as the competent person for numerous excavations. He served as the entry supervisor on numerous confined-space tank entries during his time in the private industry. Nate was previously a certified instructor for rigging, as well as excavations and soil mechanics.

Ron works closely with field teams, project managers, and leadership to ensure crews are properly equipped, risks are proactively managed, and operational systems support the realities of remote and field‑based work.

She holds many certifications in both the Public Health and Safety fields with extensive experience in the oil manufacturing industry.

Taylor is dedicated to creating safe and healthy work environments with the focus on empowering employees, fostering a culture of learning, and utilizing data-driven methodologies to identify and implement improvements where needed. Her current position allows her the privilege to work hand in hand with both employers and employees in the State of Wyoming to help improve their safety cultures.
