Planning to grow your business or move operations to Wyoming? The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS), along with our partners, is here to help make the process easier.
We can support your business with:
- Labor market and workforce data
- Employee recruitment and applicant screening
- Training and upskilling support
- Other human resource services tailored to your needs
Best of all, these services are provided at sin coste to your business.
Reduction in Force or Business Closure Support
If your business is facing layoffs, downsizing, or a potential closure, you don’t have to navigate it alone. DWS can quickly bring together trusted partners and resources to help you plan next steps and respond effectively.
Our goal is to help you:
- Develop a clear strategy that supports your business goals
- Assist affected employees with transition services
- Explore options that may reduce or prevent layoffs when possible
In some cases, early and coordinated support has helped businesses avoid downsizing or closure altogether.
Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Notice
Federal law requires employers with 100 or more employees to provide 60 days’ written notice before a mass layoff or business closure.
Wyoming follows the federal WARN Act requirements and does not have additional state-specific rules. DWS can help you understand your responsibilities and guide you through the notification process if needed.
