CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is making it easier for businesses to build the skilled workforce they need. To simplify the process, DWS has launched a new online system specifically designed for Wyoming employers and organizations interested in starting or expanding Registered Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship Programs.
The new platform makes it easier to apply for and manage apprenticeship funding through a federal apprenticeship expansion grant (SAEF3). Employers can now complete applications, track progress, and manage grants all in one place, saving time and streamlining communication with the DWS Apprenticeship Team.
It also introduces two new funding opportunities:
- A one-time $10,000 incentive for Registered Apprenticeship Programs, and
- A $5,000 incentive for Pre-Apprenticeship Programs, both designed to help employers launch or grow cutting-edge training opportunities.
“Before this new system, our apprenticeship team relied on manual tracking systems that were inefficient and time-consuming,” said Shaye Moon, Business Training and Support Program Manager. “Now, employers can easily apply for funding, manage apprentices, and monitor results, all from one secure online platform.”
Businesses can get started by creating a partner account in the new system, ApprentiScope. Select “create partner account” to set up your profile. Once the Wyoming Apprenticeship Team reviews the submission, the business will receive a link to create a profile within the new system—unlocking tools to manage their grant and track apprentices’ related technical instruction (RTI) progress.
The DWS Apprenticeship Team is available to guide employers through every step, from program design to grant management, and will host live Q&A sessions for businesses interested in learning more:
“Apprenticeships are one of Wyoming’s strongest pathways for developing talent,” Moon added. “By modernizing our system and providing these new funding opportunities, we’re helping more businesses start programs that grow their workforce and our state’s economy.”
