Cheyenne, WY – The Wyoming Workforce Development Council (WWDC) will convene in Gillette for its quarterly meeting on Wednesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 14. The two-day meeting will bring together state and local leaders to explore workforce priorities, highlight regional initiatives, and examine the evolving role of Wyoming’s energy sector in shaping the state’s workforce.

The meeting begins at 1 p.m. on May 13 and continues at 8:30 a.m. on May 14. Members of the public are welcome to attend in person or join virtually via Zoom.

Meeting Highlights Include:

  • Key Workforce Updates: Hear the latest from the Department of Workforce Services, including spending plan updates and a performance review of Wyoming’s One-Stop centers, with a spotlight on the Gillette Workforce Center. 
  • Energy and Economic Landscape: Engage in discussions on Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Forging Tomorrow: Wyoming and Gillette’s Energy Horizon, along with insights into the state’s broader economic and workforce landscape. 
  • Digital Innovation: Learn about progress on the Digital Wallet project and ongoing efforts from the WWDC AI Task Force.
