CHEYENNE, WY — The Wyoming Workforce Development Council (WWDC) will hold its quarterly meeting virtually on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The meeting will focus on key workforce development priorities and economic growth opportunities across Wyoming. Council members will receive program updates, hear from subject-matter experts, and take action on funding requests and proposed updates to council bylaws.

Meeting highlights include:

  • Labor Market Information: Michael Moore, Research Supervisor with the Department of Workforce Services Research and Planning, will present Women in the Workforce, examining the trends and insights shaping Wyoming’s labor force.
  • Economic Development Panel: Live the Legend, Build the Future: Economic Growth in Wyoming will feature a panel discussion on emerging opportunities and long-term economic prospects for the state.
  • One-Stop Center Spotlight: A success story from the Rock Springs Workforce Center highlighting workforce services in action.
  • Suicide Prevention Awareness: Tracy Rassley of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Montana Chapter, will present Hablar salva vidas, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and prevention.
