Goals of Wyoming Transition with a Difference (TWD)
- Foster Independence:
To help students with disabilities build the skills and confidence necessary to lead independent lives and make their own choices about their futures. - Improve Employment Outcomes:
To provide real-world work experiences and customized training opportunities that lead to meaningful, sustainable employment for program participants. - Enhance Mental Health and Well-being:
To ensure that all participants have access to comprehensive mental health resources and support systems that promote emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth. - Encourage Collaboration and Community Engagement:
To bring together educators, employers, parents, case managers, and community organizations in a collaborative effort to support the transition process for students with disabilities. - Tailor Programs to Individual Needs:
