The program provides <strong>free bonding coverage<\/strong> for high-risk job seekers, giving employers peace of mind when hiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Can Benefit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bonding is available if a person is <strong>qualified for the job<\/strong> but cannot get bonded by a commercial carrier due to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Record of arrest, conviction, or imprisonment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>History of alcohol or drug abuse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lack of previous work history<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dishonorable military discharge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poor credit history<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Coverage:<\/strong> Up to <strong>$5,000 per person<\/strong>. The federal government pays the initial cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job and Employee Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To qualify:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The individual must have a <strong>firm job offer<\/strong> for a <strong>permanent, full-time position<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The individual must <strong>not be self-employed<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The individual must <strong>not be commercially bondable<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If these criteria are met, bonding coverage usually <strong>begins on the first day of work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bonds are initially issued for <strong>six months<\/strong>.
